The Old Forge Library is pleased to offer a three session virtual travel program through ZOOM featuring Costa Rica.
All are invited to attend one or all of these sessions to explore and learn about Costa Rica from the comfort of your own home (and without needing a passport and sunscreen!)
Costa Rica is a rugged, rainforested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and Pacific. Though its capital, San Jose, is home to cultural institutions like the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, Costa Rica is known for its beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity. Roughly a quarter of its area is made up of protected jungle, teeming with wildlife including spider monkeys and quetzal birds.
The sessions will be led by certified naturalist tour guide Alejandro Cano of Enjoy Virtual Tours. Alejandro has more than 20 years experience and is looking forward to guiding folks from the Adirondacks on these live trips.
The Costa Rica Zoom Series will be held on Tuesdays February 20, February 27, and March 5 at 5 pm. The itinerary is
- February 20 ~The San Jose City Tour;
- February 27 ~ The Flavors of Costa Rica Pacific Beaches, and
- March 5 ~ The Coffee Farm Tour.
Please call the library (369-6008) or e-mail (oldforge@midyork.org) for a link to the virtual tour.
