Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Central NY Dairy, Livestock, and Field Crops Team (CNYDLFC) in collaboration with PRO-DAIRY is excited to announce their “Feeders School” program offered in English and Spanish.
Join us for this program targeted to people currently feeding or interested in feeding dairy cows, who want to learn more about how and why of feeding activities and how to improve the feeding process on farms.
Some of the topics covered during this program are:
– Economics and importance of feeding and feed management
– Dry Matter and feeder math basics: how to measure DM and refusals and adjust ration
– Feed consistency and TMR audits
– Troubleshooting mixer wagons
– Bunk silo management, map out bunk, packing density and preservation, feed out.
– Safety
For the Central NY region, we will have two dates available.

Both days are 10 AM to 3 PM. Registration for this event is $50 and includes lunch.
