The Village of Fort Plain Cycle the Erie Canal Welcome event begins with Green Mountain amusements at 6:00pm on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Fort Plain Office Village Green located at 16 River Street, Fort Plain, NY.
We are planning many activities to welcome the 600 riders who will be participating. Riders will be given the “red carpet treatment” on July 12.
Activities Planned
– Music in Haslett Park. We are doing two separate performances with music from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m.
– Carnival at the Village Hall! CORE has arranged for amusement rides adjacent to the Bike Path at the site of our new village hall.
– Welcome Kiosk. There will be two welcome kiosks with one on the Bike Path where the riders enter the village and the second located right near Village Hall.
