The Friends of the Amsterdam Free Library’s mission is to maintain a voluntarily non-profit association of persons in order to:​​​ ​promote the widest use of library services for all ages and interest levels, alert the community to the library’s needs, and raise funds for additional programs, improvements, and equipment not provided for in the library budget.
