Montgomery Kayak-A-Thon

The Montgomery Kayak-A-Thon Takes place 8:00am until 3:00pm on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the St. Johnsville Marina located at 1 Marina Drive, St. Johnsville, NY.

Kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards are all invited to launch from the St. Johnsville Municipal Marina Launch at 1 Marina, Drive, St. Johnsville, NY 13452 and travel east along the Mohawk River, through Locks 14 and 15, and conclude their paddle at the Riverfront Park in Canajoharie.

Check-in will begin at 8am at the St. Johnsville Municipal Marina Launch. Participants can drop their kayaks, canoes and paddle boards, and then park. Event parking will be available at the Riverfront Park at 143 Church Street in Canajoharie, NY, with shuttle service provided back to the boat launch.

A post-event lunch will be available for registered participants.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

8:00 a.m. – Check-in at St. Johnsville Municipal Marina Launch / Parking at Riverfront Park in Canajoharie.
9:15 a.m. – Safety Meeting
9:30 a.m. – Launch from the St. Johnsville Municipal Marina
12:00 p.m. – Kayakers begin to arrive at the Riverfront Park in Canajoharie.
12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch and Prizes!

Kayak Rentals cost is $30 per person. Kayak reservations are available online through FareHarbor.com
