Old Forge Library’s Music in the Gazebo Series will feature the Saranc Lake based duo, Blessid Dirt, on Tuesday, July 16 at 4 pm.
Blessid Dirt is an acoustic Americana duo born in the heart of the Adirondacks, featuring the talented Tereson Dupuy and Eric Pasternak. As singer-songwriters, their original compositions resonate with the rich tapestry of life experiences that listeners can deeply connect with. Classified as heavy-folk, they have been influenced by greats such as John Prine, Mary Gauthier, Townes Van Zandt and Led Zeppelin alike.
Eric Pasternak, a native New Yorker, mesmerizes audiences with his masterful guitar work and poetic lyrical balance. Tereson Dupuy, originally from New Orleans, infuses the music with soulful Southern charm, creating a distinctive and memorable musical experience.
Eric and Tereson are known for their effortless harmonies, deeply moving lyrics, and artful adaptations of traditional tunes.
Combined with authentic storytelling, Blessid Dirt is a duo not to be missed. But, if you cannot attend their performance at the library, 0r if you enjoy them so much that you want to hear them again, they are visiting Old Forge for two days! Music lovers are also encouraged to attend their show, Wednesday, July 17 from 5:00-6:30 pm at View as part of their Wednesday “Concerts in the Courtyard” series. View’s Wednesday performances are free to the public and offer a cash bar, and made-in-house snacks available for purchase. View offers plenty of tables and seating to unwind in the courtyard while listening to the music of some of the region’s most talented performers!
The large lawn area surrounding the library gazebo offers the opportunity to spread out and enjoy this free, family-friendly entertainment.
Listeners are asked to bring their own blanket or folding chair. In case of inclement weather, the audience is invited to sit under the big tent on the lawn.
The Friends of the Old Forge Library will offer a used book sale during each Tuesday concert if weather permits. Listeners are invited to stop by their booth and load up on used books, DVDs, puzzles and more. Donations are appreciated.
