 Cooperstown\, NY -  The Empty Bowls fundraiser for the Cooperstown Food P
 antry will be held on Saturday\, November 15 from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Chr
 ist Church Parish Hall\, 69 Fair Street\, in Cooperstown. For a $20 donati
 on at the door\, participants receive a hand-thrown bowl of their choice\,
  and a soup and bread lunch.\n“Empty Bowls has been a community fundrais
 er for years\,” said Will Kleffner. “People get to keep the empty bowl
  as a reminder of hunger in Otsego County\, but with the news about SNAP c
 uts\, HEAP cuts\, and the government shutdown\, it is clear that food inse
 curity is top of mind.”\nHe said that since the federal government stopp
 ed SNAP payments on November 1\, visits to the Food Pantry\, which serves 
 all of Otsego County\, have doubled. He said that the Empty Bowls event is
  sponsored by The Smithy\, Leatherstocking Credit Union\, and Altonview Ar
 chitects PC.\nSupport the Food Pantry’s Work\nTo support the work of the
  Food Pantry\, people also can donate via PayPal on the website\, cooperst
 ownfoodpantry.org\, or mail a check to the Cooperstown Food Pantry at 25 C
 hurch Street\, Cooperstown\, NY 13326. The Food Pantry\, now in its 47h ye
 ar\, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Pantry also could use more
  volunteers to handle the increased demand for its services\, call 607/547
 -8902 for more information.\nThe Cooperstown Food Pantry is open Mondays\,
  Tuesdays\, Wednesdays\, and Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm\, Thursdays from 1
  pm to 5 pm\, and Saturdays from 10 am to noon.\nPeople in need of food as
