DESCRIPTION:What can a root tell us about the season\, the soil\, and even 
 our own wellbeing?\nHerbalist Jessica Maureen Hinsdill returns to the Old 
 Forge Library on Tuesday\, September 8\, at 6 pm for the next installment 
 of Seasonal Wellness: Healing with the Rhythms of Nature. This fall sessio
 n\, "Nourishing and Grounding Roots"\, takes a closer look at the roots th
 at plants store underground as summer fades and autumn arrives.\n\nFall is
  root-harvesting season\, and the evening will explore how roots are used 
 in herbal traditions\, what makes them nourishing\, and why this time of y
 ear is so closely connected with slowing down\, gathering energy\, and pre
 paring for winter.\n\nThe program will be hands-on and practical\, with pl
 enty of opportunity to learn about the plants themselves. A tasting of her
 bal teas made from the roots featured in the program will round out the ev
 ening.\n\nHinsdill is a Boonville-based herbalist and founder of Wild Soul
 stice LLC. She has spent years teaching people about the properties and us
 es of plants through herbal education\, consultations\, plant walks\, and 
 other programs. She also leads the Old Forge Library’s popular herbal st
 udy group.\n\nThe program is free and open to the public\, but space is li
