Highwheeler Coffee Shop for hand crafted coffee and tea beverages
At Highwheeler Coffee Shop, we intend to create community around an appreciation for hand crafted coffee and tea beverages in a comfortable and inviting space. We see coffee as a craft beverage, and hold an interest in its production along every stage of its life cycle. We focus very heavily on the skill of each individual, from farmer to barista, to produce a quality beverage.
Rebecca Winters, Founder / Manager
In addition to being a partner and manager/barista at Highwheeler Coffee, Rebecca is a server, advertising coordinator and backup commis at The Table at Fort Plain. She is also the coordinator of the annual Celebrate the Season event in Fort Plain.
Highwheeler Coffee combines her passion for enriching the local community and offering a quality product and customer service to those in the community and all who visit.
“I have had a desire to open a coffee shop for over 3 years, and am very excited to have the opportunity to share Highwheeler Coffee with our area. In addition to our focus on our craft beverage menu, I am very excited to offer a space that will be active in the community. I look forward to hosting various events, centered on boosting nightlife, with a specific focus on cultivating culture and celebrating skills of various arenas.”
Aaron Katovitch, Founder / Chef
A graduate of the Fort Plain High School, Chef Aaron studied culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI and restaurant operations at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. His career has ranged from cooking at the prestigious Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod to managing chain restaurants in Baltimore and Philadelphia. He is currently the chef owner of The Table at Fort Plain, just two doors east of Highwheeler.
Chef Aaron is excited to be associated with Highwheeler Coffee is a very interesting food. Getting the perfect extraction is a form of alchemy. It is a constant challenge to get the best out of each bean we bring in. I hope you can sit back, relax, and let our coffees take you away to an exotic venue; even if only briefly.
