Public Works Committee
Coordinates clean-ups throughout town and works on public art, beautification, urban reforestation, and safety improvement projects.
Land Bank Committee
Works with the Greater Mohawk Valley Land Bank, City of Little Falls, and other resource partners and volunteers to fight blight in our neighborhoods.
Works with the City and other organizations to develop and implement a Complete Streets plan for the City of Little Falls. This includes pedestrian, wheelchair, and bike-friendly streets and sidewalks, placemaking, signage, and other fun topics.
Clean Energy Task Force
Supports City efforts to achieve Clean Energy Community status and explores other sustainability-related initiatives such as composting, solar energy, electric- vehicle (EV) charging stations, and projects that support Climate Smart Communities certification.
Oversees the upkeep of the composting toilet installed, through the generosity
of a family’s grant, on Moss Island to encourage the use of Little Falls’ beautiful climbing and hiking areas.
Membership and Fundraising
Brainstorms and coordinates initiatives and events to attract new members and help raise funding to support communi- ty projects and MSF’s operating costs.
In addition to these committees, MSF also serves as a not-for-profit (NFP) umbrella organization for members launching and growing new initiatives to help the community. We’re proud to provide the NFP umbrella for the Little Falls Cheese Festival and to have helped launch the Little Falls Microfund!
