Ophelia's Looking Glass is an identical twin sister duo of ethereal Gothic music.
The band formed because they wanted to create a fresh, unique sound and do it together. Their hauntingly beautiful original songs are laced with literary references, cinematic influences, and fantasy elements. Weaving enchanting tales with mystical, witchy tones, Ophelia's Looking Glass is a journey into the fantastical unknown like falling down the rabbit hole into a theatrical, endless river of imagery. They currently have three albums: their self-titled debut, Heroines, and The Siren and the Beast; the faerie twins are alacritous to record a fourth. There are future collaborations on the horizon. One of their newer compositions “Hello, Soul” was partially inspired by one of Jordan Elizabeth’s novels. When they are not conjuring musical alchemy in their Elven realm, the twin sirens are casting their spell at a variety of shows, including festivals such as the Mayfaire. “Ophelia’s Looking Glass is a completely different animal, combining enchanting female vocals, serenading guitars and haunting progressions. A lot of their material reminded me of Nightwish’s debut, Angels Fall First….” The Metal Webzine (Buffalo, NY)
Shane Archer Reed combines powerful alternative and pop rock melodies with his background in musical theatre to create a sound and style all his own.
