Since 2010, LivingADK has held the annual Duck Derby as their major fundraising event!

September 3, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Moose River adjacent to the Adirondack Bank building (108 Codling St., Old Forge, NY)

Thousands of rubber ducks are released into the Moose River near the covered bridge and dam in Old Forge on SR 28 on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.  Join in the fun with music, grilled hotdogs, face painting, corn hole and the excitement swirling around the event.  Adopt a single duck for $5 or a “Flock of 5” ducks for $20 and cheer them on, as the speediest duck can win you one of 19 wonderful prizes donated by our generous local business owners.

Through Labor Day weekend, ducks can be adopted at the Friday Old Forge Farmers Market or at the Old Forge Visitor Information Center. Additionally, duck ticket sales will be available the morning of the race in the Adirondack Bank parking lot starting at 10:00 AM.

All proceeds go towards LivingADK in support of their mission to promote healthy, vibrant and growing communities in the West Central Adirondacks.
