We love the Mohawk Valley and we think you will, too!
If you love the outdoors and beautiful scenery, you’ve come to the right place. The Mohawk Valley Region is located along the Mohawk River in the ancestral lands of the Kanienʼkehá:ka’ (Mohawk) and Oneida nestled between the Catskills and the Adirondacks. People from all over the country have flocked to this area to explore the history, enjoy hiking, cycling along the Erie Canal, and boating on the Mohawk River and Erie Canal. Not only will you find wonderful towns and villages along the way, you’ll also discover the historical significance of the area.
What you’ll find here
Through our travels throughout the Mohawk Valley we have learned so much about the region. Our discoveries include incredible history, arts, tourism and community events across the valley. Our goal is to bring all that we find and share with you here at Mohawk Valley Today!
Why we do what we do
Mohawk Valley Today is the result of our love for this area. We love the opportunities we have to to experience life in this beautiful, abundant and historic place. be more self-sufficient, learn about the land and live off of the land responsibly. The land we live on has been farmed and inhabited for over 300 years. We hope to add to its story as good stewards of the land and the historical Van Slyke House which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in November 2021.
Take a break and check out some of the work we’ve been doing.
Thanks so much and we hope to see you out and about in the Mohawk Valley!
