First Crack 2023

First Crack 2023 takes place on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at Herkimer Diamond Mines located at 4601 New York Route 28 in Herkimer NY!

Join the Herkimer Diamond Mines KOA Resort for our brand new annual event!

The First Crack event will be hosted annually prior to opening day. Tickets are currently limited to 150 spots and will fill quickly so be sure to purchase them before we run out!

Your admission ticket includes:

• Mining immediately after a fresh turn over & excavation
• Exclusive entrance to mine prior to opening day
• Coffee & lunch included

Our general mining rules apply to this event:

• No power tools
• tool weight maximums
• area restrictions, etc.

You must purchase a ticket to enter the mines on this day. Goggles are required to enter.

The event is subject to change based on weather.
