The Red Cross is working to restock critically needed blood products after the cancellation of blood drives across the Southeast, causing more than 1,500 blood donations to go uncollected. This number is expected to rise drastically as so many communities begin to recover from the devastation brought by Hurricane Helene. Blood from other parts of the nation is being shipped to the southeast to ensure patient needs are met.

The need for blood is CONSTANT and every unit collected in the CNY community is important and can saves lives, in our neighborhoods and beyond! You can help by encourage your community to FALL into the habit of donating blood at an American Red Cross blood drive this October! We don’t want to LEAF our southern neighbors hanging!
