Wednesday Night Craft Night
The Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd., has a new season of free craft projects lined up for the ever-popular Wednesday night Craft Get-Togethers! Craft nights start at 5 pm.
These sessions have a festive feel geared towards seasonal decor and holiday gifting. Craft nights are child-friendly and senior-friendly and are a fun social event for folks of every age in between. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies and instructions are provided. There is not instruction, with a goal of creating a cookie-cutter project, but there is encouragement to be as creative as we want.
The schedule is
Oct. 16: Painted Gourds ghosts or jack-o-lanterns
Oct. 23: Felt Ball Pumpkins
Oct. 30: Day of the Dead Pumpkin Candle Holders
Nov. 6: Fall Leaf Quilling
Nov. 13: Pumpkin Spice Salt Dough
More Upcoming:
Nov. 20: Pinecone Gnome
Dec. 4: Snowy Owl Ornaments
Dec. 11: Decorate a Stocking
December 18: Holiday Spoons
Although supplies are free of charge, they are limited. Please call ahead to reserve a spot. Call the library at 315-369-6008 or e-mail oldforge@midyork.org to sign up for one or all of the craft get-togethers.
Funding for this series is provided by New York State Council on the Arts with support from Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
