We love the Mohawk Valley!

If you love the outdoors, beautiful scenery, and lots going on, you’ve come to the right place. The Mohawk Valley Region, located along the Mohawk River in the ancestral lands of the Kanienʼkehá:ka’ (Mohawk) and Oneida, is nestled between the Catskills and the Adirondacks. People from all over the world have flocked to this area to explore the history, enjoy hiking, cycling along the historic Erie Canal, along with boating on the Mohawk River and Erie Canal. Along the way, you’ll find wonderful towns and villages while discovering the historical significance of the Mohawk Valley.

What we do

Mohawk Valley Today is a regional hub where we support the residents, municipalities, farmers and producers, organizations, and visitors, by getting the word out about the history, programs, services, and events available throughout the Mohawk Valley region.

Why we do what we do

As a nonprofit, Mohawk Valley Today looks for opportunities to share all that is happening in the communities scattered throughout the valley. We hope to play a part in educating Mohawk Valley residents, visitors and transplants about the region’s

  • Communities and shared history,
  • Local events that have become integral to Mohawk Valley’s ongoing story,
  • Resources that highlight local safety, seasonal best practices, and recreational activities,
  • Thriving local agricultural community and how we can all get access to farm-fresh produce while supporting our farmers and producers.
