Beef Pasture Walk

Highlights from Oneida County Ag updates for regional farmers

Beef Pasture Walk

All area beef producers are invited to attend an evening pasture walk hosted by County Line Farm located at 10232 Cedar Lake Rd. in Clayville beginning at 7pm on Friday May 23, 2025. Beef farm owners Rick Donahoe and Casey Holbert have worked diligently to make improvements to their Arrowquip beef handling setup and are eager to share what has worked well as well as opportunities for improvements. Join us on the farm to discuss all things beef: accessing handling equipment, biosecurity plans, planning for NY Grown and Certified marketing opportunities, pasture and weed management, MeatSuite and more. Reservations appreciated as dinner will be offered at no cost to participants. Please be mindful of biosecurity practices: Please arrive with clean clothes and footwear to mitigate biosecurity risks.

Please RSVP to Marylynn by May 19th by calling/texting 315.368.8603 or email:

Dairy Processing Survey open through May 21, 2025

In partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension and Oneida County, Mohawk Valley EDGE is seeking input from regional dairy farmers to understand the potential for new dairy processing solutions. The project aims to support the region’s valuable dairy industry and dairy farmers to ensure their long-term viability.

With Chobani’s recent announcement of a new processing plant in Oneida County, we are reopening this survey for further input from local farmers. The survey will be open for two weeks through 5/21/25, so please complete it as soon as possible!

Please note that all data received in survey responses will be kept anonymous and only used to plan and assess the value of new dairy processing for this study. Individual data will not be shared or published.

Take the survey online at DairyProcessing Survey.
