Montgomery County STOP-DWI Announces End of Summer / Labor Day High Visibility Enforcement Campaign
Fonda, NY – The Montgomery County STOP-DWI Program today announced that local police agencies will participate in a countywide STOP-DWI High Visibility Enforcement Campaign (HVEC) as part of the End of Summer / Labor Day Campaign, running from August 13 through September 1.
This initiative will feature roving STOP-DWI patrols and checkpoints across Montgomery County. The goal is to deter impaired driving and keep roadways safe during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
“We know that impaired driving incidents increase during holiday weekends and end-of-summer celebrations,” said [Jeffrey Kaczor, Montgomery County STOP-DWI Coordinator]. “By partnering with local police agencies, we’re sending a clear message—drive sober or face the consequences.”
The HVEC is part of a statewide effort to reduce alcohol- and drug-related traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities. Montgomery County urges residents and visitors to plan ahead, use designated drivers, or arrange alternate transportation to ensure everyone gets home safely.
