Amsterdam’s Veteran’s Day Parade Hosted by the American Legion Post 701
Amsterdam, NY: The City of Amsterdam is pleased to announce Amsterdam’s Veteran’s Day Parade hosted by the American Legion Post 701 on Tuesday, November 11th will begin at 10am on Guy Park Avenue.
The parade is one of Amsterdam’s longest standing traditions.
Every year bystanders come out to enjoy our annual Veteran’s Day Parade that runs down historic Guy Park Avenue. We will also have the award-winning Amsterdam Marching Rams closing out the parade.
Judge Lorraine Diamond stated “Our Veterans Day parade is a heartfelt tribute to those who have bravely served our country. It’s a day to honor their sacrifices and to reflect on the values they fought to protect. We are excited to invite everyone to join us to celebrate our heroes and show our gratitude. See you on November 11 at 10 AM for the parade and anyone wishing to march please be there at 9:30 AM at the corner of Guy Park in Evelyn.”
“Attending Amsterdam’s Veterans Day Parade and the beautiful tribute ceremony that follows, is a wonderful and fitting way to show our gratitude for the men and women from our community who served our country. They deserve this and so much more.” Said Mayor Cinquanti.
After the parade, please join us at Veteran’s Park for our ceremony that will begin at 11am.
