The Village of Fort Plain will be hosting the annual Santa Comes to Town
This seasonal favorite will be held in Haslett Park on Saturday December 13th.
For the second year, the Village of Fort Plain invites you to celebrate the season during this year’s Santa Comes to Town on December 13th beginning at 6:00 p.m. The parade has quickly become a local favorite with its warm welcome for Santa.
Mayor Pat Hanifin is expecting a fun time for all that is sure to light up the village.
“Last year we had an amazing turn out and we are expecting even more entries this year.”
Participation in the parade is encouraged and can include cars, trucks, and ATVs. Parade participants will be pulling out all the stops on their lights and festive decorations. Like last year, they compete for a trophy for the best decked out float. For those in the parade, be sure to line up at Harry Hoag Elementary by 4:45 p.m. Judging will be happening before the parade starts at 6:00 p.m. The parade concludes at Haslett Park just before Santa arrives by fire truck.
Pictures with Santa will take place on the bandstand shortly after the parade!
Families will enjoy live music, free photos with Santa and more, in the beautifully decorated Haslett Park. Known throughout the area for its Christmas display, visitors and residents alike can stroll through the park and enjoy the lights of the holiday season.
The Fort Plain Central School PTA will be serving hot Chocolate to go with sweet treats at the bake sale. Come on out for a fun community event!
