Downtown Gloversville Participates in Shopping Holidays

Deals Available on Black Friday & Small Business Saturday, Santa Also Visits

Downtown Gloversville merchants are gearing up for a strong and festive Black Friday and Small Business Saturday on November 28 and 29, offering residents and visitors shopping, dining, gift buying, and holiday experiences. From specialty retail and handcrafted art to local restaurants, gift certificate offers, and even a Santa visit, this weekend is shaping up to be one of the busiest downtown.

“Black Friday and Small Business Saturday are important days for Gloversville’s downtown businesses,” said Jennifer Donovan, Downtown Development Specialist with the Fulton County Center for Regional Growth. “When people shop locally, every dollar stays here—supporting jobs, strengthening our local economy, and helping our small businesses continue to grow.”

“Small Business Saturday is about celebrating the entrepreneurs who pour their passion into our downtown,” Donovan added. “Whether you’re buying a gift, enjoying a meal, visiting a gallery, or taking advantage of seasonal specials, your support makes a measurable impact.”

CONCERT

Take a break from shopping by attending a concert hosted by Glove City Arts Alliance (GCAA) on Small Business Saturday at 2 p.m. Member musicians and special guests will perform in an acoustic setting in the screening room on the third floor of the Memorial Hall Cultural & Arts Center, 40 N. Main St. Suggested donation is $10- $15 per family.
