ADIRONDACK FISH & PISCIVOROUS BIRDS – A FREE EDUCATION EVENT

The Adirondack Fish and Piscivorous Birds Education Event begins at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the The Glove Theatre, in Gloversville, NY.

A FREE all-ages Education Event! At 1pm – The Fly Shack will lead a fly-tying demonstration. At 2pm – Lisa Holst will provide an historical overview of the fish communities of the Adirondacks and will profile some of the lesser-known native fish species.

She will also share information regarding the ongoing restoration of endangered ADK fish species, how the recovery of certain bird species is affecting fish and fisheries, and how piscivorous (fish eating) birds are affected by environmental contamination.
