Hands-On Apple Grafting Workshop
Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County will be holding a hands-on learning opportunity for aspiring fruit growers and home orchard enthusiasts.
On March 13, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, CCE Oneida County will host an Apple Tree Grafting Workshop at the Willowvale Fire Co, located at 3459 Oneida St, Chadwicks.
The workshop will be led by farmer and organic orchardist Jason Townsend of Kingfisher Farm, who will guide participants through the basics of apple tree grafting. Attendees will learn foundational grafting techniques, have the opportunity to practice their skills and receive feedback in real time during the session.
Registration is $75 per person and includes grafting materials and five apple trees, which participants will graft themselves. Attendees must bring their own bucket for transporting their trees home.
