City of Amsterdam 9/11 Ceremony

The City of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Tourism, Marketing & Recreation Department will be hosting a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Riverlink Park at the 9/11 Monument starting at 9:30am on Friday, September 11.

Mayor Cinquanti stated, “A quote engraved on the wall of the 9-11 memorial in New York City reads: “No Day Shall Erase You from the Memory of Time.” Our city and every community in this country has a solemn obligation to honor and remember the victims of those horrible attacks and we must continue to do so forever.”

Join us as we stand together to remember, reflect, and honor those we lost, the families forever impacted, and the brave first responders and service members who continue to inspire us.

Commander William “Billy” D. Tubbs, USN, Commanding Officer of the Naval Oceanography Special Warfare Center, as our 2026 Keynote Speaker. Commander Tubbs has proudly served our nation for nearly three decades, leading sailors around the world and dedicating his career to protecting our country’s security. His service, leadership, and commitment make him a fitting speaker as we gather to remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who answered the call, and reflect on the strength and resilience of our nation.
