Town of Otsego Residents and Property Owners

The Town of Otsego is holding a public hearing next Wednesday, October 21 at 7 PM on the revised draft comprehensive plan update. The revised draft plan update can be found here.

Please note: while the document is 155 pages long, the plan update itself is roughly the first ten pages. What follows after is the supporting surveys, responses, data, and planning process documentation upon which the draft comprehensive plan update was based.

Municipal comprehensive plans lay out the vision and priorities of the Town’s residents and property owners for the place they live — identifying shared goals, long-term community needs, and community resources. Once adopted, the plan sets the basis for updating any land use laws, setting town budget priorities, and pursuing grant opportunities to benefit the town.

It is vital that residents and property owners in the Town of Otsego review the plan and weigh in at the public hearing, as democracy requires.
