Amsterdam’s SoupFest
Saturday, January 17th from 12-5pm
Sponsored by Bethany Schumann-McGhee, Attorney at Law
Amsterdam, NY: The City of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Tourism Marketing & Recreation Department present SoupFest sponsored by Bethany Schumann-McGhee, Attorney at Law, on Saturday, January 17th from 12-5pm. Restaurants and bars throughout the city will provide over 30 different soups to sample. Food and drink specials, giveaways, live music and more will take place throughout the day.
“This is one of my favorite events because I absolutely love soup and our city is fortunate to have some superb soup-makers! Said Mayor Mike Cinquanti. “It is also a lot of fun to have the opportunity to patronize so many great local eateries in the same day, and it’s great to see some new venues on this year’s list. Plus, you run into a ton of old friends along the way and get to make new ones!
“I’m happy to partner with the city to promote such a fun event for families and look forward to seeing you there!” Stated Bethany Schumann-McGhee.
Participants will pay $1 for 3oz soup samples at each location and vote on-line for their favorite soup. The city will award trophies for the Most Unique Soup in the City and the Best Soup in the City. The Soup Guide will be available online and can also be picked up at any participating locations. The guide will include a list of all the soups, entertainment, and specials.
