Dust Devil Band Brings High-Energy Show Back to Unity Hall Sunday, October 12 at 6PM

Barneveld, NY – The Dust Devil Band, a longtime favorite of local music fans, returns to Unity Hall on Sunday, October 12 at 6PM for a high-energy evening of great music. The concert will also feature a special opening set by singer/musician Ann Carey.

The Dust Devil Band

Part of Central New York’s musical history, the Dust Devil Band (DDB) traces its roots to the Waylon & Willie era of Outlaw Country, later embraced by the Southern Rock movement. Over time, the band has developed a signature sound loved by their fans blending blues, southern rock, Americana, and alternative country.

DDB always comes through in a big way for Unity Hall audiences. The veteran lineup features frontman singer/guitarist/harmonica player Ed Rosenburgh; New York State Blues Hall of Fame lead/slide guitarist Smokin’ George Deveny; masterful bassist and vocalist Dan Porter; rock solid drummer and percussionist Darryl Mattison; and pedal steel guitarist extraordinaire George Newton.

The Dust Devil Band has been a strong supporter of Unity Hall’s historic performance space. Last year, they chose the venue to release Better With Age, an album of spirited original Americana tunes penned by Deveny, Newton, Porter, and Rosenburgh.

This year’s concert will showcase inspired versions of songs from rock, Americana, rockabilly, outlaw country, and blues legends, along with originals from their acclaimed album. Every DDB concert promises an upbeat evening packed with musical highlights.

Opening the night will be Ann Carey, a beloved voice in the region known from her work with Puttin’ On The Ritz and the duo Nook n’ Crannie with Matt Mielnick.

The performance will take place at Unity Hall, 101 Vanderkemp Ave, Barneveld, NY.  Tickets: $20 for Unity Hall Members / $25 for Non-Members
Available exclusively through Humanitix at www.unityhall.com.
Day-of tickets (if available) will be sold at the door beginning at 5:15PM.

This performance is presented by the Unity Hall Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the historic 1896 Hall as a vibrant center for the arts. The Music Series is made possible with support from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by CNY Arts, with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
