A Traditional Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at the Old Forge Library
The Old Forge Library’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is back again on Saturday, April 4, at 11 am.
This free event is open to all. Children will receive bunny ears and a basket at check-in before heading out to gather more than 1,000 colorful plastic eggs hidden across the library lawn. Afterward, eggs can be exchanged for prizes, including sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, cat’s cradle sets, and other toys that encourage outdoor play. Local craftsman and woodworker Dennis Kenney has also contributed handcrafted puzzles designed to be lasting keepsakes.
The hunt will take place outdoors, so families are encouraged to dress for the weather, including footwear suitable for mud or snow.
Calling 315-369-6008 or emailing oldforge@midyork.org to register is appreciated for planning purposes, though walk-ins are welcome. Supplies are limited to 96 children.
