First Day Hike – Delta Lake State Park

Join us to ring in a New Year with a First Day Hike down at the Beach! Meet in the Four Seasons Room at 10:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026, for a map and memento, and then return at the end to warm up with a hot beverage.

Entering the park, drive straight ahead to the beach (it should be your second stop sign). Park in the lot to the left and walk towards the beach house. You will see the Four Seasons Room to the right of the tunnel – signs should be out to guide you.

Dress for the weather, wear layers, supportive shoes. Be prepared for rain, snow, mud, and uneven terrain (roots, rocks). Trail is generally flat, through a wooded area, and will begin and end at the beach. Benches are located at the beach.

There is no minimum or maximum age limit, and pets are welcome. Trail is approximately one mile but can be extended with connecting trails if you’d like to stay and explore longer. If you have any questions you can message us here or call the office at 315-337-4670.

Looking forward to many new adventures! We’ll see you out there!
