The Old Forge Library will offer Meditation with Trees, a peaceful outdoor workshop facilitated by Doug Davis, on Thursday, October 2 at 3 pm; it will take place on the library grounds at 220 Crosby Blvd.

This unique experience invites participants to explore the calming and restorative benefits of quietly connecting with trees and the natural world. Long regarded as symbols of wisdom, stability, shelter, growth, and renewal, trees serve as the focal point for guided mindfulness practices designed to deepen participants’ connection with nature. All will be invited to spend quiet, focused time with a particular tree, allowing space for personal reflection and the possibility of receiving insights or messages from the tree itself.

Doug Davis, who has facilitated numerous meditation and nature-based programs at the library, brings a calm and thoughtful approach to each session.

His workshops encourage slowing down, listening deeply, and becoming fully present in the natural surroundings. Many past participants have returned to spend quiet, meaningful time among the trees on the library’s grounds.

Registration is appreciated but not required, and walk-ins are always welcome. To register, call the library at 315-369-6008 or email oldforge@midyork.org. As with all Old Forge Library programs, this event is free and open to everyone.
