Old Forge Library Gazebo Concert Series: Hungrytown

The Old Forge Library will kick off its 2026 Music in the Gazebo summer concert series with a special performance by Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle on Tuesday, June 30 at 4 pm on the library lawn, 220 Crosby Boulevard, Old Forge.

The Old Forge Library’s Music in the Gazebo Series continues on Tuesday, July 21, at 4 pm with a free outdoor performance by Hungrytown.

Hungrytown is the musical partnership of Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson. Their original songs blend contemporary folk with traditional influences, featuring close harmonies, acoustic instrumentation, and thoughtful songwriting. After years of touring throughout the United States and Europe, the duo has built a loyal following for performances that are intimate, engaging, and deeply rooted in the folk tradition.

Live music brings people together, offering an opportunity to slow down, connect with neighbors, and enjoy an afternoon of shared community experience. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain, the concert will move under the library’s large lawn tent.

Weather permitting, the Friends of the Old Forge Library will offer a selection of used books, DVDs, and puzzles for donation, with proceeds supporting library programs and services.

The Music in the Gazebo Series continues every Tuesday throughout the summer with free performances by local and regional musicians.

All concerts are free and open to the public. The Music in the Gazebo Series is generously funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.

Set in the library’s gazebo, the concert invites the community to relax on the lawn and enjoy an afternoon of live music in a welcoming outdoor setting. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs. In the event of inclement weather, seating will be available under a large tent on the lawn.

The Friends of the Old Forge Library will vend used books during the concert, weather permitting. Visitors will be able to browse books, DVDs, puzzles, and other items, with donations appreciated.
