The Old Forge Library is excited to announce an Earth Day event in collaboration with MVEDD (Mohawk Valley Economic Development District) on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Community members are invited to join us for a fun-filled, hands-on workshop where they will learn how to make eco-friendly DIY bath and cleaning products using simple, natural ingredients like baking soda.

Family-friendly, FREE event

This family-friendly, FREE event is designed to promote sustainable living by showing participants how to reduce waste and create chemical-free alternatives to household products. Whether you’re a parent looking for safe, natural options or an individual interested in living more sustainably, this event is perfect for all ages.

“Earth Day provides a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community to explore ways we can make environmentally conscious choices,” said Library board Vice President and longtime board member, Dave Berkstresser. “We’re thrilled to partner with MVEDD to bring this interactive, educational experience to Old Forge and help our neighbors reduce their environmental footprint in a fun, hands-on way.”

The event will take place at the Old Forge Library, located at 220 Crosby Road, Old Forge, NY 13420. For more information, please contact the library at (315) 369-6008 or email us at oldforge@midyork.org.
