PERSONA Opening at the Glove Cities Gallery
The Glove Cities Arts Alliance (GCAA) will kick off the new year with the opening of PERSONA, a compelling new exhibition exploring identity, emotion, and the human condition, opening Thursday, January 8, at Glove Cities Gallery, 52 Church Street, Gloversville.
The exhibition opens with a public reception on Thursday, January 8, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., inviting the community to meet the artists, explore the new gallery space, and experience downtown Gloversville’s growing arts scene. PERSONA will remain on view January 8 through February 7, 2026, with the Main Gallery featuring work by Janelle Krause, Ingrid Nichter, and Hannah Williams, and the Balcony Gallery showcasing a private collection from Alex Miller. Curated by Robert Tomlinson, the exhibition examines portraiture as more than realism, focusing instead on empathy, emotional depth, and individuality. Through painting, the artists present intimate and powerful studies that invite viewers to connect with complex personal narratives.
