Taxpayer Assistant Program with the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance

On select Mondays in February, March and April, representatives from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance will be at the Amsterdam Free Library.

They will be able to guide qualified individuals through filing their tax returns using secure online tax software. To qualify, you must have earned $89,000 or less in 2025 (filing individually or as a family,) have basic computer skills and an active email account you can access.
Sessions will be held in the Teen Room of the Amsterdam Free Library from 10am-6pm on the following dates: February 9 and 23, March 9 and 23, and April 6. For more information or to schedule an appointment, visit https://www.tax.ny.gov/tap/.
