The Pirates of Penzance at the Glove Theatre

GloveArts’ Summer Youth Theatre Institute is proud to present our original adaption of The Pirates of Penzance.

Whatever your flavor of high seas hijinx and musical mischief, Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance is the operetta for you!

Over our 4-week Theatre Institute program our participants had fun, learned a lot, and worked together to create their own unique presentation of this pivotal piece that paved the way for the modern musical. Our students attended workshops with our teaching artists focused on: acting, music, choreography, wardrobe, tech, and more. They worked to cast the show — and off they sailed into the deep blue for an exciting, fast-paced rehearsal process that put the power of storytelling into the capable hands of our participants — guided by our professional cohort of collaborative theatre artists.

You, our audience, is in for such a treat — four unique live performances we share with friends, family and the community at large! We invite you to come cheer on and support the youth of our community and beyond and celebrate their talent and creativity!
