(Barneveld, NY –) Unity Hall, in collaboration with the Utica Children’s Museum and the Barneveld Library, invites families to take part in an engaging and educational program, “Why Birds Have Beaks,” on Sunday, October 26 at 3PM. This free, hands-on session promises an afternoon of learning, discovery, and fun for children and their families.

Students will embark on a lively investigation exploring how the shape of bird beaks matches their favorite foods. During the interactive “Find the Best Beak” activity, children will experiment with tools representing different beak types—from long, pointy ones for picking up seeds to wide, flat versions designed for scooping. This playful exploration demonstrates how each beak is uniquely suited to its food source.

The Children’s Museum Mobile Museum adds another layer of excitement, offering exhibits and activities that ignite creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through meaningful play.
