Herkimer College Seeks Entries for Makers of the Mohawk Valley
Herkimer College will present Makers of the Mohawk Valley beginning Friday, October 10. The exhibit will feature art and other fine-crafted objects produced by individuals ages 18 and above who live or work in the Mohawk Valley.
Drop Off Date
Artists who wish to be considered for the show must drop off their artwork on Friday, October 3, from 4-5 p.m. and on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Artwork must be picked up on Saturday, December 6, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Guidelines
Artists may submit up to two art pieces created in the last three years.
Artwork may include 2D and 3D fine arts, pottery, photography, video, textile arts, glass, and woodworking. All submissions must be ready to display. Two-dimensional work must be ready to hang. Three-dimensional work must be no larger than 72 inches in any direction. Artists who submit any video work must provide their own equipment for display.
Exhibit Times
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The opening will take place on Friday, October 10, with a reception from 5-7 p.m. in the Cogar Gallery. The show will conclude on Friday, December 5.
