The jungle is jumpin’ with jazz in this exciting adaptation of the classic Disney animated feature The Jungle Book.
Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favorite Disney songs including “The Bare Necessities” and “I Wan’na Be Like You.” With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, The Jungle Book KIDS is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages! Enjoy the antics as the “man cub”, Mowgli, bounds through the jungle and learns what it means to be human.
ALL community members are welcome to attend these special performances.

Board President, Kathleen Perrott, indicated, “We are honored to offer two very special summer programs to the youth of Fulton and Montgomery counties and beyond. Both programs are FREE to participants. The GloveArts’ Summer Children’s Musical, Jungle Book KIDS, is a fun two-week introduction to the stage for our youngest aspiring thespians (first through twelfth grade). Later this summer, the GloveArts’ Theatre Institute provides a free four-week theatre arts program for teens and tweens (ages 11 to 18). We love creating new experiences, memories, and a love of theatre – right here in the heart of downtown Gloversville at The Glove Theatre!”
This summer, The Glove welcomed back Jennifer Flynn as the Lead Teaching Artist and Director of our Children’s Musical. She has been directing The Glove’s Summer Children’s Musicals since 2017. Ms. Flynn noted, “I always enjoy my time at The Glove Theatre working with kids from various schools and age groups during the summer. We have a lot of fun working together, not only on a show, but in developing lifelong friendships.”
