The Next Seven Weeks in Echoes of Legacy: Federal Style

Last week, Echoes of Legacy began its journey through the architecture and history of Little Falls with the Georgian style and the General Nicholas Herkimer Home.

Now, over the next seven weeks, we will step into the Federal era—a period when the young United States was beginning to express its new identity through architecture marked by balance, refinement, and quiet elegance.

Each week, we will visit a different Federal-style home in Little Falls. Behind every doorway is a story: a prominent citizen, a devoted family, a community leader, or an individual whose work and service helped shape the city we know today.

Although these homes are connected by their architectural style, each will be presented as its own complete story. Readers may follow the entire series or join us at any point along the way.

Together, we will look beyond the façades and enter the lives once lived within these walls.

Welcome to the Federal Style section of Echoes of Legacy.
