Veteran’s Time to Thrive Car Show and Fundraiser

Organization seeking to provide affordable housing to veterans and service members hosting fundraising event.

AMSTERDAM, NEW YORK – Veteran’s Time to Thrive, Inc. (VT3), in partnership with Amsterdam Waterfront Foundation’s Summer Concert Series, will be hosting a car show fundraising event and concert on July 15, 2023, at 1 Bridge Street in Amsterdam, New York.  The event will be held from 11-3pm with registration beginning at 10am.  A total of 38 trophies will be awarded, including specialty categories such as Veteran’s choice and Mayor’s choice. Following the car show where DJ John Colarusso will be providing entertainment, the public is welcome to a concert at 7pm in Amsterdam’s Riverlink Park to enjoy the sounds of Tompkins Drive – Rockin’ Country.

There is a $10 minimum donation for vehicle registration into the event, with 100% of the proceeds going to VT3 and their mission to provide affordable housing to veterans and servicemembers. To pre-register for the car show, please visit www.VT-3.org.

Veteran’s Time to Thrive, Inc. (VT3) seeks to provide affordable housing to veterans and servicemembers by building an 18-unit housing development in Amsterdam, New York. Founded by Navy veteran CDR David J. Mendez, USN (RET) and his wife, Tanya Mendez, VT3 is working to give back to the veterans and servicemembers that have sacrificed so much for our country and create a positive impact on the community in Amsterdam. The hope is that this project will serve as a stepping-stone for further positive changes throughout Amsterdam while providing the opportunity for veterans, service members, and their families to thrive through affordable, decent, and safe housing.
