City of Oneonta Parks and Recreation announced Wilber Pool Opening Day will be on Saturday, June 28, 2025! The City of Oneonta and the Oneonta Family YMCA are getting ready to welcome swimmers backl! Here’s what you need to know:

Pool Admission

City of Oneonta residents swim for free, but must have a pool pass. Passes will be scanned at the entrance to help us keep track of all swimmers for safety.

Non-residents will be required to pay admission:

  • $1 per child
  • $3 per adult
  • $8 per family

Seasonal non-resident pass:

  • $25 per child
  • $50 per adult
  • $75 per family

Pass Pickup Info

Passes available at the Oneonta YMCA from 6:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., June 6–27, and at the Wilber Pool House / Welcome Center starting June 28, 2025.

City residents must bring a photo ID and proof of residency (utility bill, driver’s license, voter registration card, or rental lease).

Forms for passes and lessons can be picked up at the Wilber Welcome Center, YMCA Front Desk, or printed from www.oneontaymca.org.

Swim Lessons & SAWW Registration

Sign-ups open at the YMCA: June 5 & June 12 from 5:00–6:30 PM

More dates will be announced soon! Registration continues until all slots are full.

Safety Around Water Week

Join us July 28–31 (Mon–Thurs) for Safety Around Water Week — four days of water safety skills and swim fun, held in memory of YMCA employee Stephen Lyden.

Briggs Pool in Wilber Park is owned by the City of Oneonta and is operated in collaboration with the Oneonta Family YMCA.
