Featured Mohawk Valley Artist: Roland Randall

Roland Randall, Mohawk Valley Today Featured Artist

If you’re traveling through the Mohawk Valley, chances are you’ll pass by a mural, sculpture, or special space created by local artists. Mohawk Valley artists beautify spaces in cities, towns and villages throughout the region’s six counties. This week’s Featured Mohawk Valley artist is Roland Randall.

Roland’s interest in art began at a young age leading him to pursue a Fine Arts major in college. He exhibited at the Cooperstown Annual National Juried Art Exhibition at the age of 21.

Classes throughout adulthood led me to MVCA, Herkimer College and “The Art Thing.” The Mural was an extremely fulfilling experience and I look forward to future projects that enhance our communities.

“Roland is an inspiring local artist, and a great supporter of the arts. We met Roland before starting The Art Thing, and we were bigs fans then! When we started doing art things Roland was always there, always showing up to support these new things! He volunteered all of his summer Sundays to working on the Stone Soup mural, and we’re so grateful to him for everything he’s brought to each one of us at TAT, and to the organization as a whole. He is a true gem, and a really talented artist and we look forward to working with Roland again and again!”- The Art Thing Collaborative Team

Many thanks to Roland for sharing his creativity, artwork and inspiration with our Mohawk Valley community.
