Funding Available for Montgomery County Youth Programs

The Montgomery County Youth Bureau is pleased to announce the availability of 2027 Youth Development Program Funding and Youth Sports Funding. These funds are available through the NYS Office of Children & Family Services Division of Youth Development and Partnerships for Success to community-based, non-profit organizations and/or municipal-operated youth programs who provide direct services to Montgomery County youth. Youth Development Program Funding is available to eligible programs that provide community-level direct services designed to promote positive youth development for youth under age 21.

Youth Team Sports Funding is available to support local team sports activities for youth under age 18. Youth Sports and Education Opportunity Funding is available to support local physical recreation and/or sports activities for youth ages 6-17. Sports funded programs must serve all youth with priority given to under-resourced communities and must have a child protection policy in place that includes adherence to local city, agency, school district, and state child protection guidelines, and have the ability to collect registration data, including participant demographic information as required by NYS OCFS. For-profit organizations, elite or private sports programs are not eligible for this funding.
