The 2026 Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful Wrap Up Event

Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful (KMVB) is celebrating the achievements of the annual Great American Cleanup! The annual wrap up event will be held on Monday, October 5th at 1:00pm outside the Mohawk Valley Economic Development District, Inc. (MVEDD) office, located at 26 W Main Street, Mohawk NY.

Rain Date – October 6th at 2:30pm outside the MVEDD office.

KMVB is a six-county NYS affiliate of the National Keep America Beautiful (KAB) program and a standing committee of MVEDD. KAB works to create sustainable communities that are socially connected, environmentally healthy and economically sound. Their annual cleanup effort is the country’s largest community improvement program. Each spring, KAB affiliates, like KMVB, engage more than 4 million volunteers in more than 20,000 communities nationwide.

Steve Smith, MVEDD’s Executive Director, will provide an overview of the environmental and economic benefits resulting from KMVB’s regional volunteer efforts and the success of our Main Street beautification project.

After the event, please join us for a litter cleanup along Main Street and the Empire State Trail. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.

KMVB volunteers, interested community members, local leaders and media/new outlets are welcome to attend.
