The City of Amsterdam Earth Day Clean up Sponsored by Century 21 Purtell Realty and Montgomery County Legislator Robert Purtell
Amsterdam, NY – The City of Amsterdam celebrates Earth Day with our annual Earth Day Clean Up Sponsored by Century 21 Purtell Realty and Montgomery County Legislator Robert Purtell on Saturday, April 20th from 8:30am-1pm at Veterans Park (lower parking lot).
Mayor Cinquanti stated “I can’t think of a more helpful and enjoyable way for Amsterdam residents to spend their Saturday. First, they get to work up an appetite in the morning, by participating in one of our City’s Spring Clean-up projects and then in the afternoon they get to fill themselves up with delicious chicken wings served by our amazing group of locally owned restaurants. Our city wins, our local restaurants win and best of all we get to spend the day with family and friends!”
County Legislator Robert Purtell stated “This is a good opportunity for every individual and organization in our city to spend a little time cleaning up their own property, curbsides, and vacant lots in their own neighborhoods. A little bit of volunteer cleanup effort from a whole bunch of people at the same time makes a huge difference in the appearance of our city. Join us this Saturday and take pride in your community.”
Volunteers can pick up gloves/garbage bags and enjoy free breakfast, lunch, and drinks. Take a look at a list of places that could use some sprucing up.
