CRG to Participate in Earth Day Clean Up Initiative on April 20th

GLOVERSVILLE, NY – Fulton County Center for Regional Growth (CRG), under the direction of President and CEO Ronald Peters, will be joining the Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful (KMVB) Initiative by hosting a clean-up team for Earth Day on Saturday, April 20th.

On Earth Day, teams will go out throughout the Mohawk Valley and pick up garbage. Upon completion, teams are asked to post photos of their bags of garbage on social media and tag it #KMVB. Teams can be registered for the Earth Day Clean Up at website https://mvedd.org/kmvb.

“We are supporting our partners in the KMVB initiative who are Mohawk Valley Economic Development District, City of Gloversville and the Fulton-Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce,” Peters said. “Not only are we good neighbors and support environmental stewardship, but clean-ups are important for economic development efforts as we showcase Fulton County to potential businesses and investors.”

CRG hosted a team last year and will have a similar route for this year’s efforts. The team will meet on April 20 at 10 a.m. in front of the office at 34 W. Fulton Street in Gloversville. They will clean from Fulton Street down to Cayadutta Street to Main Street and will also clean the portion of the Rail Trail near the Fulton County Regional SPCA.

Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful (KMVB) is a six-county affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. KMVB hosts annual clean up events and encourages community beautification projects to preserve and protect the natural beauty and health of the Mohawk Valley region.
