Curb Appeal Program – Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corp (SEEC) is now accepting applications for the 2025 program.

Our 2025 applications are NOW OPEN for Main Street retail businesses looking to enhance their storefronts!

We can’t wait to see your vision—and SEEC is here to help make it happen. SEEC is offering incentives to commercial and mixed-use property owners or business tenants. Applicants must be willing to invest in positive visual and sustainable improvements that complement the desired character of commercial and historic districts.

In 2024, the program emphasized 8 historic districts across the county!

The program focus was on Main Street beautification. SEEC received applications from nearly 20 commercial property owners/tenants requesting co-investment. SEEC organized a “Review Committee” and hired design consultants to help each applicant realize the building’s potential. The Review Committee recommended grant awards to 13 projects spanning seven different communities so they could make historically appropriate building improvements.

The Curb Appeal Program has been made possible by local donations to the SEEC Prosperity Fund, SEECs Curb Appeal Program is focused on exterior design and building improvements along the Main Streets throughout Schoharie County. Projects to commence summer 2025 with intended completion by December 2025.
