“Utica on Film: Landmark Moments” offers a chance to view rare films and videos that capture iconic moments from Utica’s past.

Nearly 200 people attended its debut screening in November 2025. Back by popular demand, this is a second opportunity to see these captivating films, whether you missed them the first time or want to see them again. The screening features rarely-seen footage, including the 1932 Centennial Celebration, vintage Utica street trolleys, the grand reopening of the Boston Store, and the bittersweet farewell to the legendary Donalty and Callahan’s Saloon.

This special event takes place at the Oneida County History Center on Saturday, February 21, at 2:00 pm.

WKTV NEWS Channel 2 Meteorologist Eric Gage will also be on hand, sharing historical films from WKTV’s archive and discussing insights into the digitization process. Gage, a Central New York native and SUNY Oneonta graduate, has been instrumental in unearthing and preserving these visual treasures along with WKTV anchor Ben Kinne.

Don’t miss this must-see trip back in time and relive classic moments that helped shape our community.
