As we gather with loved ones this holiday season, many families in our community are facing something very different—a fight for life, hope, and one more tomorrow.

1 in 7 Herkimer residents who enter the hospital will need a blood transfusion and this is one of the most challenging times of the year to maintain an adequate blood supply — donations drop sharply during the holidays, while medical needs remain constant and often increase.
